WORK, REST AND PLAY

A few weeks ago we headed to Camber Sands to spend some quality time with some special peeps. It was much needed and we had the best few days.  Me and Pete are realising more and more how important it is to set aside time to spend with the people we love.. and we loved this weekend.. :)

Some iPhone goodness..

Love you guys..
We've also been shooting Agnes and Norman's new S/S collection.. oh my.. you're going to ADORE them!!!
I bought a new dress at the wonderful Yellow Vintage fair in Southampton which my gorgeous friends Zoe and Nathan organise all by themselves.. (super proud friend alert)..

Max's shredded paper drawer diaries continue..

Seeing my bestie..

Being a guest lecturer at Staffordshire Uni.. (in like a proper lecture theatre an' everything)

Visiting friends and being reminded of what is important.. (ohhhh Rufus.. gimme those cheeks)

Then we headed off to do some Welcome Home workshops..Oh hello Welcome Home selfie!
We had the cutest couples to shoot..

…and we'll be blogging fully about the workshops very soon.. :)

And then we headed to the Royal Opera House London to shoot a very special collaboration with Rachel Simpson and Freed of London..

..and got to shoot inside the factory where they make all the incredible shoes..

….aaaaaaaand breathe!!!

agnes and norman..

Not sure I can call this work at all to be honest.. hanging out in Brighton for a few days with a great bunch of peeps.. some gorgeous clothes and the most amazing shoes.. oh and the only few days of sunshine to make an appearance back in February (it was literally snowing the week before and the week after!)

Agnes and Norman is the most beautiful new shoe range from one of my good friends Rachel Simpson (you might know her for her beautiful Bridal shoes).. they are vintage inspired in the most gorgeous colours.. all easily wearable as an every day shoe (even me who cannot do heels to save my life!).  The shoes are that gorgeous that I actually cried when she showed me them first time round.. I was just so proud of her and to be honest.. it's SO difficult to find the kind of shoes you have in your head.. I'm just so bloody chuffed that finally someone listened.. :)

So here's a few shots from the shoot.. it was such an amazing team.. running around Brighton.. chasing the sunset.. eating icecream.. and of course we might have done karaoke one evening.. ;)

A big thanks to Rachel Simpson, Bran Cook for super duper organisation, stunning make-up by Make-up by Jodie, the most phenomenal styling from Elizabeth Avey and her husband Phil, assistant photographer Joanna Poulton and then our four gorgeous models.. Abigail Poulton, Lauren Crace, Joe Winnard and my gorge hubby Pete..

We had a lot of fun..

Oh and I have a pair of Daisy in Mustard.. they are my favourite shoes EVER!!!

life lately.. {march}

So March has been a funny old month.. considering last year we were sat on picnic blankets in the park soaking up the warm sunshine.. it's felt a little like groundhog day with the snow looking like it wants a piece of Easter.. seriously now.. when is it stopping?!?!?!

But apart from the apocalyptic weather March has been pretty pleasant..

So the carpet in the house is down and life has gone back to normal after 'decorate all the things' phase. I'm not going to lie.. we have probably finished 80% of it but the 20% that is left to do are the types of jobs that probably never get done.. so hey.. lets see if by October any of them will be finished..

So it was my Birthday this month and just like Christmas, me and Pete don't tend to do much in terms of present buying for each other so instead I spent the morning in town buying bits of makeup and the nicest navy and white striped dress from Primark.. (I actually saw it on a guest at a wedding recently and asked her where she got it.. this tends to happen at least once at every wedding).. I also got the lovely coral suede shoes from Accessorize (I now just need the weather to go with them).  I also got some lovely surprises in the post too.. the mug is from the lovely Veronica Dearly (I love it as it incorporates two of my favourite things.. eggs and tea).. and a lovely photo album from the Shutterbox kids.. which I decided to fill with all our wedding polaroids.

Me and Pete then headed down to London for my friend Rachel Simpson's new shoe collection launch. We shot her new collection, agnes and norman in Brighton back in February and walking in and seeing all the imagery alongside her gorgeous shoes.. well, it just makes you feel all warm inside.. :)  I'm going to do a full post on the collection soon but, just beware ladies.. and gents.. you're going to want every single pair.  To top it off the launch was at the beautiful shop Lucy in Disguise which was literally the worst place to put me.. ;)  I came out with the most beautiful dress that I literally cannot stop looking at.. and I think it might actually have been made for me.. :)

We also managed to squeeze in a wedding fair right at the end of March and we'd been secretly planning our stand for a while now.. we had a great time at EWE.. the other suppliers were wonderful and we had such a lovely day meeting people.. and the best thing about it?  Oh my goodness.. I HAVE MY FRIGGIN' NAME IN LIGHTS!! Ha ha!  The amazing Vowed&Amazed (we shot their wedding in 2011) have just absolutely blown us away.. they are AMAZING!!! I absolutely love them and they are taking pride of place in our office forever and ever..

It's been a pretty exciting and hectic month.. here's to a slightly less hectic April..

bits and bobs..

Last year, in-between weddings it was nice to be able to collaborate with a few different peeps and to photograph some non-wedding bits and bobs.. it's always so much fun to do something different but at the same time to still be able to carry your own style through..

I was in my element shooting behind the scenes for Pearl Lowe's new book..

We spent the best day playing with balloons and pretty shoes for Rachel Simpson's new collection..
To get me in the festive spirit I spent the day shooting Pearl Lowe's Perfect Vintage Christmas Workshop..

MIH Jeans in London needed some images of their work space for Rue magazine..
..and I headed to Bath to rummage in the beautiful shop that is Susannah's...It's always nice to do something different....
