molly & phil

Well... where to start with this one?? What an absolutely wonderful day! Molly and Phil were one of my first couples to book and was actually one of my first couples to have an engagement shoot so it was pretty exciting arriving the morning of the wedding. Molly and Phil were getting married at the magnificent Syon House in Bedford and stunning is an understatement! I met Molly, her Mum and the girls outside the hotel where the limo took us down to the 'salon' (Molly is from America)... where the girls spent the morning being pampered with hair, nails and makeup! The boys were back at the hotel getting ready and then heading over to the beautiful great hall where the ceremony would be held.
Once the girls returned a flurry of activity began as bridesmaid's got ready along with Molly getting into her beautiful wedding dress and veil. We then all walked over to join everyone at the Great Hall.
The ceremony was beautiful. Molly had decided to have a bit of an American style ceremony where both bridesmaids and groomsman stood at the front facing the congregation and a beautiful string quartet played one of my favourite songs EVER (Transatlantic by Death Cab For Cutie) for Molly to walk in to. The ceremony was emotional and full of smiles and once they had become Mr and Mrs Robson we had a little bit of time within the house to have some photos whilst guests enjoyed canapes and champagne in the garden.
Dinner was to be served in the great conservatory so to lead guests across they formed a musical procession with a trumpet and a large drum leading the way with guests joining in with kazoo's and shakers!
Dinner was followed by some great speeches (including one form Molly's chief bridesmaid which is a common tradition in America) and the evening was filled with lots of dancing and a fantastic photo booth!
The whole day from start to finish was beautiful and Molly and Phil looked so in love and happy... it's always a pleasure to play a small part in a couple's wedding and me and Pete are so, so happy to have been a part of this one... :)
