Firstly I have to say what a gorgeous couple Daisy and Ben really are...Secondly Daisy is absolutely nuts! In the loveliest possible way. Prior to the wedding day she had mentioned that the pair of them were practicing 'Smeyesing'?? The skill of smiling with your eyes (as from 'Americas next top model') in preparation for the couple shots. Well, as you can see practice certainly paid off and then some! They smiled with their eyes, their faces, their whole beings... Their beautiful families all smiled and laughed and made it such a wonderful occasion.
With the ceremony held at the quaint and beautiful parish Church of St Gerrase and St Protase in Norwich, and the reception held at the jaw dropping Sotterley Hall in Norfolk, (Think Wuthering Heights and you're almost there!) owned by Ben's Godparents! Surrounded by beautiful countryside, lakes and flower filled meadows it was a stunning setting with the most glorious weather to set it off perfectly. There was a small marquee on the lawn with the most gluttonous array of cakes as prepared by family and friends...Garden games like splat the rat and a coconut shy kept the whole day relaxed and fun as did the amazing ice cream stall! The evenings entertainment kicked off with two of their terrified but very talented friends performing an array of classic covers on acoustic guitar and banjo.
Daisy and Ben giggled and laughed all day and we had the most amazing day and really bloody love this giggly pair to pieces...and we know that there will be much smeyesing for many many years to come!...
Like these a LOT - beautiful. I think there should be more coconuts at weddings too.

They both look very happy, and so should you be - they are lovely images!
ReplyDeleteOh it's just all so lovely! The photos, the nice comments. Ah.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm biased but I feel like I should mention the terribly handsome groom who, you can't tell in the pictures, has a voice like treacle. Or honey. Or a smooth but rich substance like that. Yum. You should imagine it as you look at them :)
Emma Case I love these photos, well done!
ReplyDeleteI think that because you are so little, you just creep around a wedding day like this, taking all of these brilliant photos, like a little fairy with a camera. Then you take them home and make them more magic and finally, we are all flawed with how much everything just radiates sparkle. I love you with a camera. You're absolutely magic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portraits Emma, they're beaming!!
