Jodie and Pete are one of those couples that you just know you will have a good time in their company. They make each other laugh and with Jodie's bubbly personality and Pete's charm they seem like a perfect match. They were married at the beautiful Hipping Hall in Kirkby and as I went upstairs to see Jodie a beautiful Jenny Packham dress greeted me along with the most amazing spiked heels and a beautiful diamante headpiece... oh yes!!!
We then had the boys arriving in their gorgeous grey suits with black ties with yellow boutonnieres and guests were greeted by an amazing display of rustic signs made by the wonderful Cherry Pie Lane.
The ceremony was brilliant with Jodie and Pete laughing and smiling all the way through and as they walked back up the aisle as husband and wife the afternoon was spent eating canapes and drinking champagne and although the weather was playing silly buggers through the day, we did manage to get outside for some family shots and steal the happy couple for a bit...
For the wedding breakfast everyone had to find their table using their little baby polaroid (yeah, thanks Jodie for using one of me starkers!).. and as everyone sat down we listened to some great speeches with Pete even getting a little choked when talking about Jodie..
Me and Pete then enjoyed the pure entertainment that was the 'Party Table' where mini speeches and shots were on the menu and at this point we knew that there was going to be a pretty good party that evening... and we were right, the band arrived, everyone danced, the photo booth was mental (in a good way!) and everyone was having such a good time. There was even a running joke through the day that my Pete looked like Groom Pete and even the Father of the Groom kept coming up to us and calling Pete 'Son'!
It was such a beautiful wedding and I know Jodie and Pete have some big adventures ahead of them (including moving to London together) but I know these two can tackle anything!
I adore Jodie's dress! Gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteLoved this wedding!!!! Where did you get the bridesmaid dresses? Also did the grooms men buy their outfits or did they rent?
ReplyDeleteLove the bm dresses! Where did you find them? I hate to put my girls in black and something similar to this may be a good alternative.
