We received a bloody amazing email about a month ago and I sat there staring.. with my hand over my mouth.. gobsmacked.. actually, physically not being able to speak.
"You have been selected as one of Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2013"
Shit me.
Then we were told we had to keep stum and not tell ANYONE for like a month. Aghhhhh are you kidding me!?!?!? Pure torture.
But yesterday we finally got the go ahead to let the cat out of the bag so now we can tell EVERYONE!!!
Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography has included some of my all time favourite photographers such as Max Wanger, Ben Blood, Sean Flanigan.. and last year our very own Marianne Taylor. We are literally floored to have been chosen this year.. 'lying on the floor with arms and legs stretched out in a star shape' floored. I actually still can't believe it as I'm typing.
This is so huge for us. The process of choosing the 30 is completely independent.. a panel of judges didn't know us from Adam, they sat and looked at our work and chose us. This hits me right in the heart. Being recognised for our work in this way is crazy amazing, totally overwhelming and makes me want to cry.
We actually don't know what to say except a huge, huge, huge thank you to every single person that has come in to our lives over the past four years.. and all because of a little camera.. it's pretty damn unbelievable.
A huge congratulations to all the other peeps that made the list including the lovely Ed Peers and Assassynation! Nice one guys!!!
